I graduated in Biology from the State University of Mato Grosso (UNEMAT). I have a PhD in Ecology and Evolution from the Federal University of Goiás (UFG). I've worked as a researcher at the Amazon Environmental Research Institute (IPAM), the University of Brasilia (UnB) and the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP).
My research is focused on understanding how plants respond to environmental stresses such as fire, severe drought and the removal of native vegetation. Visits to nature and fieldwork represent crucial moments of inspiration for the research projects.
